Definitely among the simplest ‘hacks’ I’ve ever done, but I figured since I had a need to do it, someone else might be thinking about doing the same. Yes, I could’ve tried to do this without the sleeve, but risking the wrath of the one who usually plays it by breaking something, when they’re already used to the sleeve, seemed a bit foolish. Tempting, since it would’ve been soooo much cleaner…maybe another time…
I recently switched from Powermat induction chargers to Qi charges, mostly because all my devices use Qi now (Galaxys, Nokias) but I had to keep one last charger for a Nintendo DSi with a Powermat receiver.

An American rack of lamb rubbed with a pesto of parmesan, rosemary, parsley, over a salad of endive frisee and fried bits of the trimmed lamb scraps, in a leaf of radicchio trevisano, with a port reduction.
A bit too done, I used to just rub the pesto on and stick in the oven, I miscalculated the difference in searing in a skillet first and didn’t consider the amount of time the rack would be resting while the reduction was on…
Also gave myself a wicked burn when I got distracted and reached for the skillet handle after taking it out of the oven to deglaze…

I figured after three days of planning this out, plus all the pics I’ve taken of other people’s food (then again they have silly stars from that tire company…), I could post some pics of my own ‘tasting menu’

I didn’t think I’d end up using this to regurgitate the same stuff I’d share on FB, but I love his True Facts (and Sad Dog Diary) stuff on YouTube, but I just found this piece to be fantastic. It’s the type of advice that (sadly) goes against what so many people think and that more people need to hear, lest our society further devolve into a herd of sheep.
Also, it’s important to know what you’re shaking on. (go back and click on Sad Dog Diary. Seriously.)
